This was the first song we ever played together. I originally wrote this one as a bit of an anthem to myself. I knew I wasn't being honest with myself about a lot of things I was feeling, and I knew when it all eventually boiled over, there was going to be serious hell to pay.
Robert Stonaker and I had been living together for a while and had been kicking this melody around. One day it just kinda fell into place. We showed it to Ben, who instantly made it better.
This is Ben singing on this one. If you think he should sing all the songs, I agree. Send him angry tweets until he complies.
lyrics
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
But now you know
Now you know
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
But now you know
Now you know
You told me we would work together
You told me that we would figure it out
But now I'm singing in my basement
Cause I can't stand to hear your fucking name
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
You said you didn't wanna know
But now you know
Now you know
